Regulated Bio Medical waste is any solid waste that is generated in the diagnosis, treatment, or immunization of humans or animals.  Of most concern and control are biomedical sharps. Needles and syringes, in particular, pose the greatest risks since they increase the potential for disease transmission.

The destruction technologies currently used for biomedical waste include sterilization and incineration.

Using the most up to date incineration or autoclave processes, MedLogic will provide you with proper and legal disposal that incorporates

• Containers: MedLogic will place a red bag lined disposal box in your medical office or clinic for collection of your biomedical waste. Sealed sharps containers can also be discarded into this box. At the time of the service visit, our technician will remove and replace the disposal box(s) with a new one. A signed and numbered Medical Waste Tracking Form will be furnished at this time and a Certificate of Destruction will be mailed back when the disposal process is completed.

• Compliance: MedLogic correctly manages your biomedical waste stream, reducing your liability and simplifying your access to disposal options. However, it’s also important that your Medical Waste company helps you to maintain your compliance and accreditation needs.  OSHA Training (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) and Compliance for generators of Medical Waste need not be complicated or expensive. We can provide you with economical online services or onsite training.
